Current inspiration
Tory Burch 2011 resort collection
For this unit, I wanted to focus mainly on colour. As a response, I decided to base my project on a ethnic far east theme. At first, I looked for all kinds of inspiration related to the word ‘Ethnic’. However, as I started to study closer, I realised that I was more drawn towards the exotic bright colours of the far east instead of the block primary colours from Africa. I love the rich, intense, tropic colours that relate with the east and have taken inspirations from photos of Thailand, India and China.
Mini Project for Interview
Recently, I have been asked to produce a high street shop report to show for an interview. This took me a few days to produce and since I got the offer, the hard work has paid off.

London visit
I have just returned from a very productive trip down to London.
During my visit, me and my fellow knitters have decided to take a visit to Prick your finger, where we were shown a number of fabulous home spun yarns. They even had a recent customer which requested for their dogs hair to be spun too. This little quirky yarn shop based in London, not only provides unique yarns spun from any material imaginable, but also brings the fun back into knitting. I highly suggest a visit next time your in London. You can find out more on www.prickyourfinger.com.
